Need a Z77 board if you plan on overclocking, and aftermarket cooling if you want to get any decent overclocks.
Would get a better brand 7970, Sapphire or Gigabyte.
Get the Samsung 830 instead of the Intel 330, better.

    Otherwise its all fine.
  2. I will be purchasing this system this month as soon as this week.

Budget is $1100-1300 Before Rebates, Before Shipping. Canadain Funds.

This system will be soley be for gaming.

I will be buying a monitor locally. Something like this.

I will pick up Windows 8 from a local retailer as well.

No preferred website. Like newegg.ca. Other Canadian sites would be just as good.

Locatied in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.

No real parts preference other than Intel CPU.

    I do intend on overclocking.

I looking for a gaming rig to play things like BF3. Elders Scroll Online when available.

  3. This update goes slightly over my budget, but if it will do the job for a bit to come then it's worth the money. I didn't add any more fans as the case comes with five; do you feel that I need another cooling system to overclock? Thanks for the help.

  4. I like this build better. It's a waste of money to get a k cpu with an h77 mobo. Just get a Coolermaster 212 EVO and make sure the ram is low profile.
  5. Just completed a build myself. Also Canadian. Use Newegg to shop if you want (great layout and reviews) but prices are generally cheaper on DirectCanada.com ;-)
I like your last build (wanderer's right about that 212 Evo) but 8GB ram is enough, if you wish to save some money, a single 2x4GB kit (1600MHz 1.5V, of course, like any Vengeance) is enough.
