Will 50 pin SCSI work with 68 pin ?

I have an IBM PC Server 330 that a friend brought over to setup with Linux. The CDROM came with no SCSI cable the. The CDROM is 50 pin male and everything on the motherboard and Raid adaptor are 68 pin female. Help, was there an adaptor possibly on the cable ?

It will work. You just need an adapter or cable change from 68 pin to 50 pin.
