How do I unblock internet access

For some reason I cannot access the internet. My hub shows internet access but my computer won't connect

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

Has it ever connected or is this a fresh installation? Are you wired or wireless?

Open Internet Explorer and go to the Tools menu then Internet Options and click the Connection tab and then the LAN button. Maker sure there's a tick in "Automatically detect settings" and remove any ticks from the Proxy boxes below that one.

Restart IE and see if that gets you online - if not, please post back.

Go to the command prompt, and type the command "ipconfig /all" without quotations does it give you a IP address? Let us know what you find

Hi, this is my problem; my friend's LAN ip have been blocked by network admin for undisclosed reason. my friend hv tried to contact them but no action have been taken to unblocked my network. myself other peers seems to have no problem with the LAN internet connection. Is there anyway around he can bypass this blocking (even illegal method) to connect back to his LAN network..
