So I built a new system about a month back, and I have returned home for an extended period of time, and when I tried to start up my machine here it completely failed to do anything. Nothing spins, nothing happens. I know only two things are working for sure: The monitor is receiving input from the video card, as its screen is different when it is not connected at all, and the USB port the mouse is plugged in is receiving enough power to light the mouse.
Other than that, nothing at all works.
I have the following specs:
Thermaltake 600W PSU
ASRock 970 Extreme3 Motherboard
AMD FX-4100 Quad-Core 3.6 Ghz CPU
Corsair 2x4GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce 550Ti with 1GB memory
Western Digital 1 TB Hard Drive
Asus 24x DVD-RW
What would be the best way to go about trying to figure out which part is at fault, or fixing the issue altogether?
