Powercolour 7970 $409 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Asus 660ti OC $390 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Going onto a Asrock OC Formula with a 3770K and 16g 2400 Ram. Antec TP750 PS

There 19 dollars diffrence, and the Radeon uses more power.

Your opinions please

You're comparing a $300 GPU against a $450 GPU, the 7970 Ghz Edi is going to win everytime. The GTX 670 is a match to the 7970 and the GTX 680 matches up to the 7970 Ghz Edi.

Anandtech's Benchmarks The 7970 Ghz Edi is superior in every game except one.

Here is Techpowerups graphical display of overall performance. The 660 Ti is roughly 25% slower overall which accounts for all benchmarks added together.

That link shows the 660 TI being $309. The 7970 will be a faster card, and it costs $100 more.

I caught that too, but I'm thinking the OP meant these two cards in which case the price difference is $60.

The problem is that you're trying to compare AMD's fastest GPU, the 7970 (7990 doesn't really count since they're never in stock) against Nvidia's 4th fastest GPU behind the GTX 690, 680 & 670. It's no comparison.

Go with the 7970 as its an enthusiast card!

Bang for buck is easy, the 660 Ti doesn't match up against the 7970, the GTX 670 does. Get the 7970.

660 Ti = 7950
670 = 7970
680 = 7970 Ghz Edi
690 = 7990

That's how the models match up performance wise. Use that as a shopping guide if you wish. If the price of the 7970 is below the 670 then you've got your answer.
