I recently put together a new system for gaming. At random it freezes and if I try to play the game it immediately freezes.
Spec are as follows.
MB: Asus Sabertooth 990fx v2
Mem: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 8Gb (x4)
SSD: Kingston HyperX 3k 240GB (x2, Raid 0)
CPU: AMD FX-4170
GPU: XFX FX-795A-TDBC (x2)
Drive: Asus BluRay BW-12B1ST
PS: Antec TPQ-1200
OS: Windows 7 Prof
I was able to get the raid to work and install windows.
I installed all the drivers for MB, Graphics cards, and any other driver I could think of.
Sound works on the computer. I can get online and browse the web. I can install, uninstall, and pretty much do whatever with no issues.
If I go away while something is updating, most of the time when I come back its frozen. If I run my game (Rift) it freezes. I cant get it to come back. Nothing works but resetting system.
I have run memtest86 and had no errors. I have run Furmark and the hottest any vid card got was 68C, and fan for this card was at 48%. Set the fans both at 60%.
Monitoring heat and nothing seems to be overheating. CPU never gets over 40C
Im looking for any other things I could do to figure out what is going on with my system.
I was hoping to do some overclocking, but I havent started because I cant get it stable with default settings.
Any help is appreciated.
