Trading brother 480 for 6870

Basically, should I trade my brothers stock EVGA 480 for a Gigabyte 6870 Windforce? He needs eyefinity for his multimonitor. I would not hesitate but the stock 480 from what i hear runs hot and loud.

gtx 480> hd 6870 in performance but gtx 480 is more power hungry, is hotter and louder. it depends on what you want!

480 is about 30% faster than a 6870 so its worth the trade. as long as your system is well cooled.

Well, I can't really gauge how loud the 480 is because he has a 650D and it's really loud. However, the bracket on the back on idle is around the same hot-ness as the bracket of my 6870 at full load.
