i have promo code of windows 8 which makes win 8 upgrade worth 1999Rs. as 799 Rs. to upgrade it i should have genuine windows7 or pirated one. iam using pirated os. can i upgrade by using this code.
i heard that it asks for the product key of win 7 while installing that upgrade software

just as I said in a post a few mins ago, they will be voiding keys, this wont happen anytime soon but I can tell you windows keys are going to be voided. You will be able to down grade once and that's it
