CPU: i5 3570k 3.40 GHz
Mobo: ASUS P8Z77-V
VGA: GTX 660 Ti 2GB
Sound card: High Definition Audio CODEC 5.1 Channel Sound
Windows 7 64bit
Seagate 2TB SATA3 Hard Disk
RAM: Patriot 8GB DDR3 1333 Memory
Case: Thermaltake Versa-I Medium Tower Case (500 watt PSU)
DVD RW:Samsung Fast Speed Dual Layer DVD Writer

Price $1000

Will this be able to run the lastest and greatest games on high detail?
Do I need more watts to run it?
Is this worth the $1000?

Thanks!

yes, it can. But gtx 660ti for a 1000 dollar rig?? You can get a HD 7950/GTX 670/ HD 7970 for that price. Unless, of course, you are doing cuda

doesn't the 660 ti outperform the 7970 in games like BF3 and skyrim? How much difference is there between the 660 ti and 7970 or 7950? % please ?

Nope, since 12.11 the 7970 outperforms the 680 in BF3. I'm also fairly certain the 7970 defeats the 680 in skyrim, don't quote me on that though.

Why spend money on a soundcard, especially when the Z77 chipsets come with 7.1..

This is what I built for $1014 after rebate (1090 before). i5 3570k, radeon 7970, 2x 4gb 1600 cas 9, CM Elite 371 (just buy a few fans for it, you can probably pick up a 4 pack still for around $10), 750w 80+ PSU, 2TB HD, DVD Burner, Win 7 Home, CM Hyper 212 EVO

Would I be able to spot the difference in RAM speed ? Is it significant?
and how much of a difference is the 660 ti to the 670?

Yep, 12.11 beta added quite a bit more FPS to alot of games in the Radeon lineup, up the point where the 7970 took the crown in the "coveted" Bf3 (I dunno why people think the graphics are so good in it, they are good but not among the lines of Crysis 2 with MaldoHD).

I recommend 12.11 beta.

Yeah budget soundcards are becoming more and more... useless. Motherboard sound is getting better and better.
