SLI GTX 550Ti vs Radeon 7850

I was wondering if I should throw a 2GB GTX 550Ti to SLI with into my PC or just switch to a Radeon 7850?
I plan on running games on max settings at 1080p.

My Current Specs:
MSI 990FXA Motherboard
8GB DDR3 1333MHz Patriot G2 RAM (2 x 4)
AMD Phenom II x6 1045T OC @ 3.7GHz
GTX 550Ti 1GB GDDR5
x1 500GB Seagate HDD
x1 160GB Seagate HDD
NZXT M59 Classic Series Mid-Tower Case

neither will run the newest games at 1080p with max settings very well. You should probably be looking up one or two more tiers to achieve that goal.

Out of your two options, I'd probably sell the 550 Ti while it is still worth something and get the single card solution.

Wait until better cheaper cards come out upgrading from a gtx550ti to a 7850 is not the biggest upgrade and wil leave you wanting more...

Just wait and play with lower settings for now.
