Hello, i gona upgrade my gpu to play all the games at max and i want to ask.
MSi GTX 680 Ligthning are a good card for the price lo of people says that its overpriced but i think compared to TWIN FROZR III or other gtx 680 models i think it has a lot more things like has better quality the the twin frozr III (Military Class III) it has dust removal function twin forzr 4 cooler, gold plated connectors and little more overclockable.
? without moving voltage settings is the best card to buy from gtx 680 series?
THanks

price range and 2GB or 4GB version.?
the MSi TF is godly expensive to me.

I'm happy with my Sig+ with backplate 2GB I just got over the weekend.
$450 rebated from newegg.

I would agree with proffet that the EVGA EVGA Superclocked, Signature 2 GTX680 is a great buy.

All three cards come with a factory overclock.
MSI lightning= 1176 boost
MXI twin frozr = 1124
EVGA = 1163 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130797
Not significantly different.

Graphics card makers are wise to overclocking, so they bin their chips and sell the best ones already factory overclocked.
How much better you can do is unknowable, and probably not worth it. My guess is 1200-1250.

They also know that fancy looking coolers sell. They do well cooling in open testbeds, but when put in a case, not so good.
The EVGA direct exhaust type cooler will get any hot air out of the case directly.
And... the new 28nm cards run cooler and don't have a heat issue anyway.

I see little benefit of 2gb vs. 4gb. That is also mostly marketing.
Read this comparison of 2gb vs. 4gb.
