I'm curious as if it would just be better to buy a new computer or upgrade my current one.

A quick reply would be great, I know the Hard drive and PSU is fine, and can just swap to a new rig if necessary, I'm just updating finally to windows 8 was waiting for it to come out (Still on windows XP) what do you think?

Why are you looking to upgrade if I may ask?

Well I've been playing the newer games and can't really get a decent frame rate even on medium, and now that the new Assassin's creed is out I thought I'd finally upgrade seeing how I need DX11 which is only Windows 7+ unfortunately. I'd love to stay with XP but with the newer games coming out in DX11 I'm sort of pushed.

You would benefit from a newer graphics card. Do you have a budget?

Don't really have a budget not caring just wanting to get it up to pace with current games, of course I'd love to keep it on the lower side of the spectrum but I can make do if not.

I was under the impression I'd probably need a new processor and ram, no?
