Hello there all Tom's hardware members! I am new to building computers and wanted to know you opinions about my build (e.g better product for price, compatibility issues, comments, better price, etc. ) Post any comments below and thanks for the help!

I'm also going to get windows 7 (64 bit), artic silver 5, and 4 (120mm) fans. This rig is for gaming (BF3, COD, SC2) and I will be o.c' my cpu to 4.5 - 5.0 GHz. Thanks for reading!

Per what I'm seeing parts-wise. You could be doing much better, specially since you plan to overclock the 7870 is a better card than the GTX 660. The common misconception is that AMD lacks in BF3 vs Nvidia, however as of late the drivers for AMD have brought the performance to be as if they were equal with no driver distortion.

It should be noted that your motherboard is overpriced honestly, it isn't quite worth $115 for that board when a 970 chipset board will have the same/similar features for about $20 less and possibly overclock just the same.

Check out my $650 build here:

What 500w is your brother giving you btw? If you could post the specs/company.

It supposedly and i quote "good". It is 500w and the company is corsair, he builds computers himself so i trust him, lol.

Seeing as it's Corsair, you should be fine!

WC is highly unnecessary and not worth it. The closed loop system like Corsair's Hydro series or Antec's Khuler series are both not worth the cost. The Hyper 212 Evo will do just fine in comparison for about 1/3 the price. Not to mention coolers like the Dark Knight S1283 new revision for $50 or the EVGA Superclock heatsink both compete pretty much with the highest end closed loop water cooling systems like the H80/H100 for a lot less.
