7970 cant display 1080p60 over HDMI
i am trying to capture the HDMI out of my 7970 using a game capture HD(http://www.gamecapture.com/). the problem is that the capture HD is a passthrough device, and so the EDID is lost in the passthrough. this makes it so that catalyst control thinks im using a Generic PNP monitor, but im not. but im using a 23inch Asus monitor.i tested this with a GT 650 HDMI out and Nvidia control lets me choose 1080p60. so my quetion is: can i force Catalyst control to output 1080p60? any help is much appreciated!!!!!!!!!

i have but the moment i plug in pass-through device under "HDTV" the option for 1080p60 goes away and the highest i can choose is 1080i30. i have tried stuff like editing registry but that didnt work and some programs like powerstrip but then my monitor says its "out of range" or something like it. again, Nvidia control panel works, becuase i tested it out on my HDMI out on my retina macbook and there it works, so this is a software issue from AMD
Anybody ever find a solution to this?
I am trying to hook up a 32" LED to a 6670 and highest I can get at 60hz is 720p.
1080i and 1080p will only do 30Hz and 24Hz respectively, and are basically unusable.
I tried adding 1080p60 format to the Display Manager (NTSC) under HDTV Support, but it still won't let me select it. The TV definitely supports 1080p 60Hz. How has AMD not fix this bug yet, from Googling it seems to have been around for a few years now.
