Screen saver won't activate in windows 7

I did a system recovery and now I can't remember what it was that I "fixed" before to solve the "screensaver won't activate" problem. I know it was simple and I think it had something to do with msconfig. Need your help. Thanks

I have windows 7 home something. I fixed the problem by going into Norton and changing the screen setting to "off" or "on" (can't remeber which). Works perfectly now!!!!!! It's apparent that the Norton security was stopping the windows screen saver from working.
