5850 v 6870 v GTX 560 TI

Hi

Looking to upgrade my GPU. Of the 3 what would be the better choice considering they are all the same price here? Will i get a few years out of them (even if its on medium)?

FYI The 6870 is a Powercolor brand
560 TI is a Inno3D brand
5850 is a XFX brand

560ti is a great card for the money right now. I would look for a better branding though. Such as Asus, Gigabyte, or Evga. Especially since you are trying to get years out of it. It will give you the best perfomance for your money.

HD 7850s are running pretty cheap now. i would look for one of those.

Can you list the prices of the cards you have listed, and where do you plan to purchase?

The cheapest 6870 on Newegg is $170. If you can afford that you can afford the 7850 that xXStavrosXx and gamerkila57 already recommended, which is also my recommendation and the 7850 will last you a LOT longer than any of the other 3 as it's the current generation.

Benchmark here Radeon 6870 vs 7850 which shows the 7850 destroying the 6870 while using less wattage at both idle and load (in case you were wondering about your PSU)

True, but look at the price. the 560 Ti is $200, 6870 is $170 and the 7850 is $165 and is by far the fastest of all the cards listed and the cheapest.

The GTX 560 TI is your best choice among the ones you listed.


But like what the above posters said, getting an HD 7850 might be a better buy.
