ok people, so I just finished building my first pc and everythings working perfectly, I installed win8, then the mobo drivers that came on the cd and finally decided to update those mobo drivers and download the new ones from asrock.
my question is... should i install the ASmedia_sata3 driver?
i read something about installing it only if you have raid configurations, which i don't, because i only have one 2tb hard drive on a sata 6 gb port.

these are the mobo and cpu i have.
CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($184.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($87.55 @ Newegg)

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. In other words, no, I don't know why you would get new drivers for it; for a gpu sure, but there is no reason that I could think of to get new drivers for a motherboard.

the things is...the drivers that came on the cd were for win 7 and since I installed win 8 on this pc, I decided to download and install the new drivers that came out (update em), but then I came across that previously said driver, which I don't know if I should install or not.

Does your PC work? If so, then I would just stick with what you have.
