HDMI no signal

When Im in game, my monitor randomly says hdmi no signal then it turns off, I have to reconnect the hdmi cable to both my monitor and graphics, then when I come back into the game, I drop from 60constant fps to 5, so then I have to reconnect monitor again and restart the game, this has happened about 4 times. Is their something wrong with my monitor or graphics card? It as aradeon hd 7950.

That sounds like the GPU is getting too hot, shutting down and restarting itself or possibly the drivers may be crashing for some reason. A complete reinstall of the ATI drivers may fix the problem. Also you can monitor your temps during gaming with MSI afterburner to see if that is the cause.
