Is this good deal? (Again)

Hello, you might have seen my post before about a 550 Ti on sale but this time it's different, today I would like to know if this card would be a good deal for only a $100. It's a MSI 7770 on tiger direct: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3199442&csid=_61

I will be expecting to play these games on at least High/Max:

-Crysis: Warhead
-Blacklight Retribution
-Guild Wars 2
-Minecraft W/ Shaders Mod
-PlanetSide 2
and so on...

I know those are pretty demanding game but I was just wanted to know how good they can run.

Other Specs:

CPU: Intel i5-3550
RAM: 8 GB
PSU: 650W
Screen Res: 1600 x 900

-Thanks!

More about good deal again
  1. This would be okay for Minecraft and probably Blacklight. Guild wars 2 is more cpu demanding than it is gpu. Crysis warhead maybe high settings. You may be trying to keep it cheap, but at least try and go for something with atleast 1.5-2.0 gddr5 ram.
  2. The 7770 is a great budget card and for $100 it's a steal. Unfortunately it's just that, a budget card. Read Tom's review and check out the benchmarks. While the 7770 is faster than the 550 Ti it doesn't scream. If you're not looking to run on Ultra then yes, it's a good deal, especially at $100.

At your resolution High settings will be easily attained, maybe Ultra / Max on the older games.
  3. 1600x900 at that resolution u need a good gpu gtx 600 series may be gtx 650ti will be better http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5401033&Sku=G458-0652%20ACREED
  4. newegg had a 6850 on sale for the last few days for 139/124 after rebate. weren't you paying attention ?
  5. u need a good gpu just get a HD 6870 its a good price and performance of card is fantastic

Still is Sapphire Radeon 6850 1gb 256-bit $140 shipped $125 after MIR (I pay attention)

That's actually the same card I use. Resolution 1920x1080 Skyrim, WoW & Diablo 3 all on Ultra & that's all I really play. I also run my card OC'ed 24/7 though.
  7. then get a gtx 560 which pretty similliar to hd 6870 and better in games like battlefield 3 and here

then why would you be asking about a 550 ? you have to know it will perform less..................... at that res you should be looking at more vram.
  9. LOL I love how these always turn into "buy this not that". All the OP asked was if a Radeon 7770 for $100 was a good deal. YES. It's a smoking deal. The cheapest 7770 on Newegg is $127 ($117 after MIR).

I didn't say anything about the 550 ti...except that it was slower than the 7770...I'm not the OP, sorry for any confusion.
  11. hmm if u find yourself comfortable with 7770 then its a good gpu u dont need any gpu around if u thought it good and yes it 7770 can run easily games on high settings too
  12. If you are limited by your budget to 130 or so or less, I would say the 7770 at 100$ is a great deal.

If you are just looking for a good deal, wait for a 7850/7870 to creep into range.
