Dual Link DVI

On modern cards today how do you know if a card has dual link DVI? I want to get a card that can transmit 120hz to a 120hz monitor. DVI is still on virtually every card. But how do you know its dual link over single link?

Well, dual link has pin holes that go all the way across. Single link will have 6 pins missing in the middle. Here is a link explaining them, google and wikipedia are your friends! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface

Thanks that what I wanted to know. Do most cards today have this? and if so around what series did they start making this in every card?

DVI basically came about right after VGA, I believe HDMI came out before they upgraded DVI to the -D. I am not sure when they start changing over though, however I think most modern cards have some form of dual-link, single link is fairly old tech.

The specs on the card will tell you what output types it has, if you are interested in one, just look in there, it should be pretty clear.
