First boot

Hello,
i've built up my new desktop and have following confg:
processor: AMD HX8350
mobo: asus crosshair v formula
GPU: nvidia GT630 2 GB
PSU: Corsair CX600
ram: 8GB corsair vengeance
now i am gonna boot up my pc for the first time.
and i've a usb external optical drive..
can it be used to install windows 7 on my pc?
and i've wireless k/m will they work while the first boot..
please help..
hope this will work and i'll not need to buy anything!

Well, I'm not sure to be honest. The disc drive should read as it is cable connected although you may need to borrow a wired keyboard. If it doesn't detect the drive, it is no issue, just turn the power back off (power button will power it off as normal) and then you may need an internal drive or port the OS to a USB flash drive.

You'll need to change to boot priority either way to recognise the drive with the OS install file first.

Your wireless keyboard and mouse should work fine. My wireless mouse worked fine with my first install.

I don't think there's any problem using a USB drive to install your OS. You will just have to make sure in your BIOS that it's set as your boot drive, then change that to your hard drive once you've installed it.
