Hello,
I have recently compared my Alienware 18x to a similar equipped MSI MS-1762.
Below are the specs for the Alienware that I just purchased. I like both systems and I am considering returning my Alienware to purchase the MSI. Any thoughts on which system I should get?
Also, please advise on what I should change, add or modify on the Alienware ?

Depends on whether one has features you consider better for you e.g. better gfx/cpu/memory/SSD. Only you can decide. Each one will no doubt have one up on the other for one or more of these.

....and price, if that's important for you - guessing the Alienware is a bit more costly (not necessarily better!)

Thanks mesba66. Actually, I found them similar in price. I did catch a bunch of discounts and promotions for the Alienware 18r on the Dell site that brought about $400 off the top price. I do like the fact that MSI uses Seagate parts. Now I'm even second guessing my choice of color, Nebula Red. Maybe I should have went with black???

SSD hopefully will come down in price. I did look and seriously think about adding a solid state hard drive, but the cost outweighed my usage and budget.

You can always substitute an SSD later.
