I had come across the same choice a few months ago and I got the GTX 550ti but I regret it now.

Even though the TDP of the 550ti is rated lower than the 6790 it is actually pretty much the same and the 6790 is a tad bit faster. It gets about 5 frames more than the 550ti in certain games!

yes get the 7770 it will be faster and it uses a little over 40 watts less then the 550 ti, so in the long run your going to end up saving on the electric bill

Gtx 560 is available @ 11k go for that if you have not bought it till now or a gtx 650ti
