Hey,

I posted a while back on how to get three displays to work on my computer, apparent ly the video card only alows 2 at a time (though it has 3 inputs) people gave me different answers, the one i did, that i didnt need any new hardware for, was to enable the cpu's integrated video. it worked great for a while but then i realized that i was having a problem with editing videos in premiere which i dated back to when i started using 3 monitors. i disabled the integrated video, and i had no problems after that.

How else can i get 3 displays working?

One way people were telling me was to get an external video card (USB to HDMI) but will that give me the same problems that i was having?

I guess the thing to do, would be to get another video card, so my question is, people said i could get the same one and link them? Will that make video editing faster? do i need the exact same one? what could i do when they stop selling this exact one? how do i link video cards?

if i dont want to get the same video card, can i get a really cheap card just to use for the third monitor? will this slow down the computer like using the integrated graphics does?

sorry for so many questions...

thanks a million

I have the same graphics card as you, and I think the only way to get 3 monitors to work is to buy the same graphics card again and run 2 at a time ( In SLI) for it to work :)

Yes you can get a cheap second graphics card and still run it with your other. The real question though is why did premiere start acting up when you enabled the onboard graphics card. Technically the onboard is just another graphics card so you may have issues with premiere when adding in a 2nd card. Did you try figuring out what was wrong with premiere when the internal was enabled. Is there any way to specifically tell premiere which card to use for hardware accelerated rendering?
