i am looking at the xfx double d cards, i cna get the 7870 for ten dollars more, is there a monumental increase in performance?

For $10 I'd def stretch.

I'm also looking at XFX cards, and I'm thinking of going 7870 becuase of the same situation.
I was even leaning that way when they were $20 apart.

Yes, its definitely worth 10 bucks difference. I say go for the 7870.

If it's only ten dollars more yes it's worth it both for overclocking as well as stock vs stock now if it was $30 more i would say no it is not worth it

    okay thanks guys and yea i was looking at becnhmarks and i was seeing how the reference cards were a good 10 fps apart on the battlefeild 3 1080p high settings benchmark, but i couldnt find anything on the xfx cards so i just was referring next to the reference cards, also i was looking at other 7870s and they all sem to be arouind 40-50 bucks more expensive, is it just a sale or am i missing something?

    No, AMD likes (everyone likes it) that they drop prices alot. The 7950 for exapmle. At launch 450$ now can be found for 300$~ :D
