Okay so I have a buddy of mine who is working on my HDMI monitor to fix an issue so he let me borrow a spare monitor he had which is a Samsung syncmaster 930B. So I went home to go hook it up and he gave me the power cord and the dvi cable that goes with it. So when I had it hooked up and all I turned on my PC and the power button on the monitor and when I turned on the power button to the monitor I got no picture at all on the monitor. All it was was a blank screen with the green power light on the monitor flickering. It then has something in the right hand corner that goes back and forth and it say analog and then it says digital. So I play around with the buttons on the monitor and then it comes up with Check Signal Cable and so I already know that everything is plugged in good because I have it all plugged in pretty tight. What do I need to do to get this monitor to work? I feel it could be since my current monitor that my friend is working on was set as HDMI that that could be why its not recognizing the DVI but I would like to know how to fix this issue? Is there a Hot Key or something I have to press. My Graphics card is a XFX Radeon 5850 1 GB Black Edition if that helps at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
