Actually it can (with deconvolution), but within limits. I use
Richardson-Lucy restoration a lot and, although it's slow, it helps a
lot to reduce the effect of the Anti-aliasing filter. Such procedures
can also be used to reduce camera shake, but due to some loss of scene
information it may at the same time result in the creation of other
artifacts.

This is also a good tool for looking at RAW data directly. It loads a
greyscale bitmap of a RAW file, and can do a simple interpolation to an
RGB bitmap, also.
