This may be frequently asked but I'm unaware so I will ask myself. Here's my specs:

AMD ATHLON 64x Dual Core Processor 5400+
430W Power Supply
2.81 GHz 1.75 Gb of RAM (I will buy new ram)
(Onboard Grahics card) HD Radeon 3300

I don't want to build a completely new computer just yet and I want to get as much performance on this build as possible on a budget. Basically I'm asking for
1) Best card I can get for my PC without the build holding the card back regardless of money
and
2) Best Card I can Get for money that Is cheap and effective.

All help is appreciated, Thanks!

6670 may be best suited for u for both ur current setup and value for money.

if u can afford a little more and may be for future build or for something :)  , get 7750.

thanks

Nothing by Nvidia? I'm a bit of a fanboy, or am I better off with AMD?

I would suggest a 7750 due to its low power draw, cheap price, and better performance over the 6670. Its hard for me to suggest anything less than the 7750 at the moment really, and right now there aren't many low end Nvida cards with as great value as AMD's, though the 650/ti is worth mentioning. They are both a tad bit more expensive than the 7750 though.

If you really want Nvidia then have a look at the 650 or 660. Personally, the AMD offerings in the low end price bracket are better.

I guess I'm going for a 7750 then, bit expensive for me but I mean it's good since Im being so stubburn about building a new rig it'll do. Thanks everyone.
