So I have had two amd hd6970s in crossfire for almost 6 months now.

I've noticed a great deal of performance decrease when playing games like Battlefield 3. Now I usually get 30-40fps on Ultra settings when before when I got my brand new crossfire setup, I could usually get about 70-80fps on Ultra setting.

I really want to know how this decrease in performance could come to be. There are some possible reason I have thought of though:

I've had them overclocked to what I am convinced is a good stable overclock, they never have over heated (highest temps were 95 degrees). Could over clocking have ruined my cards?

I've taken a looks at the GPU usage while in game, and both seem to running at full capacity, but when I disable crossfire and run with run card, I still get 30-40fps like if I had crossfire enabled. Maybe one of the cards aren't connecting into the PCI slot properly?

Or maybe one of the cards (my old 6970) is just dead.

I'd like some other people's input on this. I'm not sure what to make of it :??:
