Need some help with my little project

So I got bored one day and decided that I wanted to make a DJ turntable out of old computer parts and so I started dissecting my windows 98 PC and her mouse, I found this motor from the DVD drive and I was wondering if it is possible to power it using USB? And have a variable resistor somewhere to control the rpm to make sure the vinyls don't fly out from the turntable and kill someone, also, is it possible to make the motor change direction on the fly?
