AMD 6790 Black Screen On Boot Up

Hello guys ive just had this problem a few days ago i was in the middle of gaming on mw3 then all of a sudden the gpu fan goes full and there is a random balck screen so i try to reboot and black scrren again so i take the card out and it works on board graphics so whats the deal is the card dead and should i take it back.

Biostar 790gx A3+
AMD Phenom II X4 840
2TB WD HDD
650W Corsair PSU
VTX 3D AMD 6790
NZXT Phantom Case
Standard DVD-RW

Try removing the card, boot, and uninstall the AMD graphic driver (Catalyst). Run CCleaner to rid the system of registry errors and other crap. Then run Driver Sweeper from Safe Mode and have it remove any ATI, AMD, Nvidia graphic driver remnants it finds. Re-install the card and re-boot. Install the graphic driver for the card anew.

thanks i took it to a local pc shop and they said the card had killed its self so looks like im gonna be getting a gtx 680 :)
