Is the cable working properly? The onboard IDE connectors?

Are you using this as a boot drive? Does it boot properly by itself on the other computer?

If your boot record is set up fine, it should be no problem

I am not familiar with WindowsXP. All I can suggest is that in the BIOS setup you make the CD drive the boot drive. You might browse the posts under Windows 95/98/ME/XP, or post the problem there.

Yeah, goto <A HREF="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?releaseid=33290" target="_new"><font color=green>Microsoft</font color=green></A> and you can download the boot disks.

Hope that helps.
