Help connecting cords

I have everything plugged in from the case except the molex and 4 3pin connectors. I put 3 of the 3pin connectors in chassis fan ports, there is one left. I plugged a PCI-E cord into the PSU with a female molex at the end and plugged the molex into that.

Did I do the right thing with the molex and what do I do with the last 3pin connector?

Why is it that when I only have the molex plugged in and none of the 3pin connectors, all the fans are working?

First off, the molex connector supplies power for all the case fans. Second you need to install a fan controller to plug all the 3 pin connectors into like this to make them work at different speeds. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811992007

If all your fans are spinning with the molex connector then you are fine

Ok, so unless I get a fan controller, I don't need to do anything with the 3pin connectors, right?
