Approximate Purchase Date: Just after Christmas

Budget Range: Approx £800 not inclusing Mobo

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, video capture/editing, internet browsing, movies

Are you buying a monitor:No

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Location: UK

Overclocking: No / Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Yes

Additional Comments: (Want good performance, hopefully quiet, and want to SLI/ crossfire in the future.)

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: (e.g. I'm having trouble running game X or my PSU broke)

These are the list of parts I have assembled already, everything being interchangable apart from the Mobo as I've already got that for free.

I need some advice on my current parts. Does this build look good to you guys? Anything you'd change?Feel free to suggest better alternatives to the ones I have (Except for the motherboard, that has to stay the same since I'm getting it for free) And if someone could suggest a good PSU, case, and cooling units, that would be fantastic.

Pretty much any advice would help

Thanks in advance.

Changing the graphics card to a 660 or 670 would probably be a better idea, and a corsair 650w power supply should be sufficient for your build.
Good luck! :)

Well, if the OP wants to SLI in the future, then something with closer to 750-800W would be a better idea.

Also, be sure that the power supply is of good quality. Antec, Corsair, XFX, Seasonic, and PC Power & Cooling generally make very good units.

Change the vid card to newer series. like 680/7970. I was about to say to change your mobo to h77 if youll not overclock but since youll get it for free then might as well stick to it.

He'll be able to match the performance of a 680 with a non-reference PCB 670 and save a hundred bucks. If he's gonna overclock then might as well save the $100 and get the performance of a 680 for free :)
