Help with LG Monitor

Hey guys,

(This might not be the right place to ask but...)

I have been using a 22" Flatron W2240T (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...) for two years or so on my PC and everything has been going smoothly. I have been using a D-SUB to DVI-D Cord to plug into my PC, and I recently bought a DVI-D to Mini-displayport converter in order to use the monitor with my 2012 15" Macbook Pro.

When I turn on the monitor, whether or not the cord is plugged into my Macbook, it immediately says "D-SUB Power-Saving Mode" and the monitor goes to sleep. When plugged into my computer, my mac recognizes the monitor and shows me "W2240T" in my display preference, gives me options for 1920 x 1080 resolution, mirror displays, etc. But no matter what I do or what order I turn on/plug in the cords, the screen will not respond.

I have tried to talk to LG and see online on different forums that other people have similar problems but no resolutions. LG said that it could be a driver issue or a cord issue, but I don't think it is either because my mac is recognizing the monitor, the monitor is just not recognizing the comp.

Could it be a driver issue? I haven't installed anything.

Thanks for your help, any suggestions are appreciated.

Sincerely,

Max
