UDK and Shader Model 3 Problems

Hello,
I am trying to use UDK, which requires a shader model 3 card and I can't download an earlier version of the game. Any tricks or tips I could use other than buying a new computer or video card?

;c This just recently happened to me too. I wish the website had warning requirements before users actually attempted downloading. Shader model sadly is not free software, but apparently seems to be a category of hardware; a category with plenty diversity. ;c Hmmm... well... I guess I'll try Unity Programming.
