I'm just about to build my new gaming PC with a i5 3570k and a Sapphire 7970 Vapor-X (small OC on both) and I need to buy a monitor, but I'm not sure whether to buy the standard 60hz monitor or one of these new 120hz monitors. I would be playing at 1080p on high to ultra settings on games like: Skyrim, Assassins Creed 3, DayZ (standalone), Far Cry 3, Need For Speed MW 2012, etc.....
So what are your opinions, with a 7970 Vap-X playing these games would benefit from a 120hz monitor, do you think on high/ultra settings would I even be getting 60fps+ with this build??? The cheapest 120hz monitor is about £240, whereas an equivalent 60hz monitor is a full £100 cheaper!
So what do you think, I am just dreaming that I would get 100fps+ on these games on v-high settings???

I would definitely get a 120Hz monitor with that video card. It can even OC to great lengths thanks to the Vapor-X cooler to gain more performance.
