Hi everyone,

I want to buy a monitor capable of 2560x1440, (es. Monitor Achieva ShiMian QH270 IPSB ) but I'm not sure if my ATO 4600 PciExpress card is capable of that resolution.

It has a DVI-D dual link DVI output, in specs I read (http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/ati-radeon-hd-4000/hd-4600/Pages/ati-radeon-hd-4600-specifications.aspx)

Primary supports 18-, 24-, and 30-bit digital displays at all resolutions up to 1920x1200 (single-link DVI) or 2560x1600 (dual-link DVI)

but the 2560x1600 has a note telling: Some custom resolutions require user configuration

Anyone has experience running 2560x1440 on this board?

Thanks in advance.

Hi
ATI 4600 support 2560x1440, 2560x1600.
But, this is old graphic card. so DVI-D out may be out of order by dust or etc.
So, I recommend upgrading graphic card after using monitor.
Thanks
