What is the current best Wireless PCI Express card for the desktop pc? Dual band would be best. I have thought of Asus PCE-N15 card. That's not dual band.. but.

Hmm. I don't quite understand what it says about the 802.11.n improvements. All i understand is, that 802.11a and 802.11g got from 54 Mbit/s to 600 Mbit/s. Could you elaborate more, what is the difference between final version of 802.11n and Draft 2.0 version of it?

Just like some of the happenings in our government in DC, the version if I am not mistaken, is still in draft form. One of these days they will wake up and finalize the version.

I have had this draft N version in use for 2 years.

The first one that you listed is a great card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124342&Tpk=WMP600N&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-RSSDailyDeals-_-na-_-na&AID=10521304&PID=4176827&SID=1t35f5npw35tq

I have three of these Linksys cards in 3 computers; all working flawlessly. The first one in service for two years and the other two in service for 18 months. Easy to install and very reliable for gaming.

Regarding PCI and PCIe it depends on what slot is available on your computer.

I recommend this one (PCI): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124342 (the first one you listed)

Merry Christmas!
