Hi.

I'd like some opinions: Which is overall better for gaming at 2560x1440, 2 6950 2GB's, or a 7950? I realize the 2 6950's have more raw power, but in terms of overall experience (crossfire hassles), the 2GB vs. 3GB vRAM, and the best frame rates on the games I play, which would be preferable?

Some games I play now/will play soon:
  • Borderlands 2
  • Fallout 3/New Vegas with mods
  • Max Payne 3
  • Battlefield 3
  • Far Cry 3
  • Crysis 3
  • ArmA 3
  • Bioshock Infinite
    (So many 3's.)

Anyway, in addition, the CPU is an OC'd i5-2500K, Z68 mobo, 8GB RAM.
And like I said before, this is for gaming at 2560x1440.
Also, please don't suggest any other GPU's, these are the only two options I have.

Thanks a ton for the help!

hi,i think 1 card is batter than 2 crossfire cards.
CF need more power also have more soft compatible problems.

i think one 7850 or the other high level card is the best choise.

Sapphire's HD 7950 Vapor-X comes with a large dual-fan cooler that uses the company's famous vapor-chamber technology. On the Vapor-X you will also find a "Lethal Boost" button which switches to a second BIOS with higher clock speeds. With this BIOS, clocks are increased to 950 MHz GPU and 1250 MHz memory.

Also, the model of 7950 I'll be using is a Sapphire dual fan but not that exact model.
