So let me see if I understand this pls:
1. In reference to memory size with vid cars:
a. 4 gig is for high resolution or multiple monitors ?
b. 2 gig is fine with solo monitors with 1920 x 1080?
2. Games by themselves don’t require anything more than 2 gig?
3. 3D games and movies require 2 or 4 normally? (help)

So I get what im asking is for a better understanding on this subject to better assist me in my decision of 2 or 4 gig vid card.

It depends on what you are going to do with your video card. If you are using it for powerful gaming (gg. BF3 max. settings on multi-monitor setup) then you will need a more powerful video card with maybe 4 gigs of ram. If you are using a single monitor 2 gigs should be more than enough. 3D/2D movies don't require much GPU power so if that's all you'll be doing, you won't need that powerful a graphics card.
