I just got my components today to build my system, and I have an unknown wire coming from my PS, in an Enermax case, that has a connection on the end that is identical to the rest of the fan power connex on my Soltek board.
It had 4 possible fan powerons, and I dont know what the heck to do with this spare cord... I have never ran into one of those before, and am unsure as to whether to leave it unhooked or hook it into one of the fan powers...
Anyone ever seen one of those before, and if so, what the hell do I DO with it???
My EnerMax has also such a cable (they have two wires right) and I've hooked it into one of my Fan connectors.
If I'm right that cable is for the second psu fan inside your case.
My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground .
If it has only one wire and a fan connector then more than likely it's the RPM sensor wire for the PSU fan!
Stick it on one of the YELLOW fan headers on the Soltek board, fire up the system and go into the BIOS/Burn Protection and see if an RPM reading can be seen!
