Wired internet does not work.

hello all, my laptop cannot connect to the internet on a wired setup. Wireless works fine, but I cant use wireless set up where I'm at right now. The lights on the modem light up when I plug it in, and the lights on my computer light up too. The other computer works fine with a wired set up, so it must be the laptop. Help?

that didnt help, now it says I have no internet connection, before it said I did.

Update the Ethernet Card driver. Download that from laptop manufacturer's website.
