Hello,

I've built my 3rd PC but this time it is not starting up. I have no idea what is the cause. When I turn on the power button on my case, it doesn't work at all. I tried pressing power button, reset switch several times.

The power supply at the back of my case is at "|" not "0". These are the 2 pics of the PC:

Tried everything. Switched power with reset wire and it didn't work. Please suggest what should I do? Any way to verify which part is not working whether power supply or Case's power button.

I am using these parts:

ASROCK Z77 Pro3
Corsair CX 500
Cooler Master HAF 912 Combat Midtower case
HIS AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6770 1 GB Graphic Card
Intel 3.1 GHz LGA 1155 Core i5 3450
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB 1600 MHZ

This PC cost me too much. I am pulling my hairs. Any help would be appreciated.

make sure nothing shorting out the mb. try posting the mb with no video card and one ram stick. make sure the 4/8 pin atx power plug is connected. if nothing moves or any led come on. take out the power supply and see if it turns on using the green to black wire trick. also check that you did not bend any of the cpu pins on the motherboard.

The previous pics were of bad quality due to low light. I shot from various angles again. Please let me know if that helps or not.

Hello,

It turns out that I had a bad socket. Horrible coincidence!! But now I have a different problem. As soon as I power up my PC, it starts and after 3-4 seconds the PSU stops and whole PC restarts and this goes on and on. It is kind of a loop. Any ideas why this would happen? Could it be because I played with my PSU too much?

if said bad cpu sockket...check for bent pins. i would also take out the video card and one sick of ram and see if the mb posts. if it not a bent pin it may be the mb or i/o shield shorting out the mb.
