So, I upgraded my video card today from a Sapphire 5850 to a MSI TwinFrozr 7950, and I had no problems installing it or anything. I am having an issue with micro stuttering, specifically during BF3.
I checked my drivers, installed the 12.11 beta drivers, and also checked my memory. It appears that when I bought a new set of memory, I neglected to reset the CAS timings in the BOIS and did so today. It actually seemed to help my FPS some, which is great.
The micro stuttering only seems to start once the game has been running for a few minutes. I get about 3-5 minutes of smooth, beautiful gameplay before it starts. My FPS seem to drop throughout the course of a game as well, like they start off great then decline some as the game wears on (I am using the in-engine FPS display "render.drawfps 1" in the console).
I'm out of ideas...anyone have an suggestions for me?
