Just bought one of these off eBay, now I'm waiting for the reply from
the seller, but out of interest I'm just wondering whethr it is an
easy fix?

Basically the trays won't open, the small CD or the main LD one. All I
get is a fair bit or whirring and the EO error message. No manual so
all I've got from the the internet is error slider play, which means
nothing to me.

Any ideas anyone?

I cannot remember the internal design of the D925, I mainly work on US
units.

This is one of two things, If this is similar to the CLD-D504/604 and newer
series then the motor holder on the pickup broke during shipment and needs
to be replaced. If it is more like the CLD-D703/704 then the belt that
loads the tray plus lifts and lowers the laser mechanism needs to be
replaced or cleaned.

I also have the D925. A few years ago I had the same problem. It was
some kind of mechanism that had "disconnected", in assosciation with
the drive. I think I also had the same error-code. These players are
fine, but one should be careful during transport. I easily got mine
fixed in an electronics repair shop that did repairs for Pioneer.
