Hello all,

I'm looking for some help in building my first gaming pc. This will be a dedicated gaming machine. I'm having difficulty picking the motherboard and video card.
The processor I have decided to run is the i7 3770k. Here are a few motherboards I'm looking at but can't decide.

- AsRock Z77 Extreme 6 or -Asus P8Z77 v lx or -Gigabyte GA-Z77x-UD3H or -Gigabyte GA-Z77-UP4TH

Any recommendations for a +/- 300$ videocard?

Thank you.

p.s. if I'm in the wrong place please advice.

Get the Asus v lx
Get a hd 7950 (Boost)
You can save money on the CPU if you're just gaming, an i5 is enough. The money can go to a 7970 GhzEd or Gtx 670.

Thank you for your opinion.

So I got the Asus today as you mentioned, luckily I didin't have to decide on the rest, as it was decided for me, I just got a Asus GeForce Gtx 660ti and the i7 3770 as Christmas gifts from my best friend and my dad.

Gotta love'em:)

So this is what I ended up with as I'm writhing this:

- i7 3770
- Asus P877-v-lx
- Asus GeForce Gtx 660ti
- Corsair XMS3 Classic 8GB
- Corsair cx750
- Lg optical drive
- Intel 120gb SSD
- WesterDigital green 500gb harddrive
- Thermaltake Frio cooler
- Zalman Z9 plus case

I'll let you know the results after I build it and test it, once again thank you for your input.

Happy holidays.
