Hi everyone! I am building a new gaming pc, and wanted some input on whether or not this would be a good build:
Case: Corsair Carbide 500r
Mobo: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO LGA 1155
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz
PSU: CORSAIR HX Series HX850 850W
GPU: Galaxy 67NPH6DV6KXZ GeForce GTX 670 GC 2GB
SSD: Samsung 830 256gb
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
CPU Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Other Cooling: Replacing the stock fans with 1 Megaflow 200mm, 3 Noctua NF-S12B FLX 120mm

I wanted something that would be able to handle newer games at max settings (e.g. BF3, Far Cry 3), and would be somewhat cool and quiet. I guess my only other question (other than how the build rates), is whether or not the Galaxy 670 is good enough to play BF3 or Far Cry 3 at max settings. Or should I get a 680. I will be playing on only one monitor and at 1920x1080. Thanks!

Solution
No downside. If youre going to upgrade in the future be sure to get a nice PSU. Its all up to whether you want to save money now or in the long run

Thanks! I think I will stick with the 670.
However, is there a downside to the more powerful power supply?
