If your willing to spend 300 bucks on a 660 might as well get a 7950.

Also if you play or plan to play borderlands 2 get the 660, it can do physx which is AMAZING in borderlands 2, once you play with physx you cant go back, at least with that game.

+1

The GTX 660 Ti is nearly $300. I recommend the GTX 660 - it's about 10-15% better than the HD 7850. Plus you get smoother frames in most games and access to PhysX, FXAA, and Adaptive Vsync.

The GTX 660 is on the same level as the 7870, they go back and forth, it really depends on the benchmark. So if it comes down to GTX 660 or 7850 go with the GTX 660 like everyone else said.

The GTX 660 is a bit better than the HD 7850 but the HD 7870 beats them both(especially with the new driver).
AMD cards can also use PhysX.You just have to enable it manualy.

In my opinion this is the card to get right now.

I think its game specific. Some games can run off the CPU at the cost of FPS, others wont run it at all when it comes to Physx.

Why get a 660 GTX TI for $279 or more when the superior HD 7870 GHZ edition can be had for as little as $229 on Newegg right now?

It is excellent on real games.
