I am trying to fix an HP Pavilion zd8000 and everything vent well, i took everything apart cleaned i and put it back together. But i have colored vertical lines on my monitor. This does not happen when i connect an external monitor, so the problem has to be with the wiring or the LCD display itself. Do anyone have any experience with fixing this. I'm good with hardware repairs but in this case i i'm out of ideas.

You might be getting this if the cable is not plugged in all the way on both ends. I do not know that particular laptop, so i would check to make sure that the cable is plugged in all the way, if you can get at it. Had some laptops when you could not get at the display cable.
